With over 25 of years experience in public relations and advertising, Erin has worked with numerous companies to define corporate strategy, increase brand awareness and secure high-level media placements.

Erin founded EKPR in 2004 and her experience includes working with both BtoB and BtoC companies such as: Johnson Outdoors’ Eureka! camping gear; Silva compasses; Taggies’ line of children’s apparel and toys; Karma Threads’ line of “do good” apparel for teens and young adults; W.L. Gore & Associates outerwear; Merrell Footwear; Moonstone outerwear (formerly a division of London Fog); the World Shoe Association; Foliage, a product development and technology consulting company; Liveclicker RealTime Email solutions; and Zeta Interactive cross-channel customer lifecycle marketing solutions.

Erin also received a Bell Ringer award for proactive media placements on behalf of her clients.

 

Jean Borgman – Partner

Jean has more than 20 years of experience developing and executing strategic communications programs that target business executives, marketers, engineers and consumers through successful media and analyst relations, positioning and messaging, social media initiatives, and integrated communications strategies aligned with corporate marketing. With a track record of establishing relationships with top-tier trade and business media, industry analysts and bloggers, Jean has driven brand recognition and awareness opportunities for public and private companies worldwide.

Jean has worked exclusively with digital marketing technology and service providers since 2004. Her work includes acting as marketing director for eDataSource, senior analyst relations manager for Epsilon, seven years as global PR manager for e-Dialog, as well as managing PR programs for Evergage, Liveclicker, Zeta Interactive, Balihoo, Bronto, MyBuys and the Massachusetts Innovation and Technology Exchange (MITX).

Jean created the analyst relations (AR) practice within Epsilon to bring a new level of focus and discipline to driving outbound analyst engagement, participating in critical evaluations and supporting inbound analyst requests. She worked with internal SMEs and clients to elevate the company’s positions in analyst evaluations, such as Gartner’s Magic Quadrant of Digital Marketing Hubs and Forrester’s Customer Loyalty Solutions and Email Marketing Vendor Waves.

 

Jessica Mularczyk – Partnerjessicaheadshot

Jessica Mularczyk has more than 20 years of experience working in public relations and marketing, during which she has launched, built and maintained awareness for a wide variety of companies and their products and services.  Her experience spans several industries, including technology, consumer and professional services. With both agency and corporate background, her skills include solid strategic planning and counsel, writing, positioning, thought leadership promotion, merger and acquisition communications, media and analyst relations, social media efforts, customer reference programs and speaking and event work.

Prior to partnering with EKPR, Jessica was a director at Emerge Public Relations and, before that, vice president at Marenghi Public Relations, boutique technology and business-to-business public relations firms.  In both capacities, she provided strategic direction and served as the main point of contact for key agency accounts, managing account teams and awareness activities to ensure alignment with client sales and marketing goals.  She served clients in the enterprise software space, e.g., supply chain, customer relationship management, enterprise resource planning, content management, etc.; as well as the services arena, e.g., systems integration, advisory and consulting.

Before Marenghi Public Relations, Jessica worked at International Communications (now Lionbridge Technologies), a leading localization firm, where she was responsible for media outreach, event management and marketing content development.  Previously, while at public relations firm Professional Media Services, she managed the day-to-day activities of the firm’s government and non-profit accounts.  Prior to that, Jessica handled public relations, awards and book publishing opportunities for Sasaki & Associates, a recognized architecture and engineering firm.  She began her career at PR firm Lois Paul & Partners, where she implemented media and analyst relations programs, pursued client speaking engagements and oversaw product reviews initiatives.

Heidi’s 17 years in PR includes work on both the client and agency sides, and as a consultant designing communications plans for diverse organizations of all sizes and statures, including a number of early-stage entities, within consumer packaged goods (Welch’s, Samsonite, Island Oasis, Nova Star Cruises, Fancypants Baking Co., Good Tastes Kitchen, LeanBox), nonprofit (maaps/Massachusetts Association of Approved Private Schools, MassMEDIC/Massachusetts Medical Device Industry Council, Perkins School for the Blind, Boston Red Sox Foundation, Norwell Visiting Nurse Association and Hospice), high tech (Konica-Minolta, Kaon Interactive).

Katy Gaenicke has more than 15 years’ experience in consumer marketing and media relations in the outdoor industry.  She has a broad range of PR experience in product publicity, new product launches, event coordination, media relations, trade shows, research, securing third-party spokespersons, media training and writing.

Prior to partnering with EKPR, Katy worked for a variety of PR agencies and served as an account manager on large accounts. Katy was responsible for all phases of coordination of publicity for consumer products and programs including developing year-long plans and budgets, coordinating staffing models, securing celebrities, creating key message points, executive media training, arranging editorial exclusives, editing b-roll, producing PSAs and analyzing program results.

 

Doug Bailey – Crisis Communications Partner

Doug’s specialty is in crisis and reputation management. He has worked with major corporations, organizations, coalitions and individuals on issues involving litigation, employee disputes, industrial accidents, product recalls, government prosecution and medical malpractice.

Doug was senior vice president of Rasky Baerlin Strategic Communications, one of the largest independent public relations companies in New England. His client experience included: the Boston Red Sox, Suez Energy, Eli Lily, Caritas Christi Hospitals, The Los Angeles Dodgers, ThinkFilm, Gannet Fleming, Inc., UNICCO, etc.

Doug also spent 15 years as an award-winning journalist with the Boston Globe, where he was business reporter, deputy business editor, political editor and senior assistant metro editor for the Health and Science section.
